Marketing Your Business Opportunity Virally, What Does and Doesn’t Work.

All right already, stop with the forced e-mail forwarding! Trying to force or bribe people to forward your info to friends and/or family in order to receive a reward or build your business opportunity doesn’t work in today’s ultra-permission-based internet world. Especially when you tell visitors nothing about their friend’s or family’s privacy in the space directly next to the e-mail form. Have you ever heard of Spam Filters? It continues to get harder and harder to build your home based business or work from home opportunity this way. And, this says nothing about the time involved to do it.

 

A true viral marketing campaign gets forwarded because prospects or subscribers are compelled to do so by the intrigue of the content, not because you bribed them with points or something else.

 

What absolutely doesn’t work, no way, no how, no matter what…

  • Suggesting that your e-mail recipients forward your message to their friends and family is sure to get it sent to no one.
     
  • Closing with a line at the bottom of your e-mail that reads “Please feel free to forward this message to a friend” is more likely to get it deleted than forwarded anywhere other than the trash folder.
     

 What absolutely will work every time, all the time…

  • Start by offering something worthy of sharing like a valuable discount, vital information, such as an e-book, or offering an incentive for sharing like additional entries into a contest, an added discount or premium service will also work.
     
  • Relevant or timely information, research, or studies that are included in your e-mail might encourage your prospects to share the information with their family and friends.
     
  • Interactive content like a quiz or test, especially if it’s fun, will inspire forwarding. The more you can interest your prospects in what you are marketing with facts and figures, not to be confused with hype, the more you will draw their attention. This holds true weather you are marketing a cash gifting program, MLM, or affiliate program of any kind. It also holds true in a home based opportunity or any work from home program.
  • Jokes and cartoons are almost always forwarded to everybody the recipient knows.  Why is the cost of gasoline so funny or Hillary vs. Barack?  Because we make light of it which makes it entertaining and entertainment is meant to be shared.
     
  • A really cool multimedia experience is always going to achieve a lot of “pass-along marketing”. Everyone likes something new and fresh and content rich media is often new and fresh. The novelty and tech factors alone are often enough to make the e-mail recipient, hopefully your new prospect, eager to share it. This alone will sometimes double, triple, and even quadruple your marketing efforts.

 

Finally there’s one more really important thing that I need to mention. You can craft a brilliant e-mail, follow all the rules, and have great presentation but if a prospect visits your site and receives less that what was promised, you will not achieve viral marketing, well alright, maybe the wrong kind.  Be certain that your product, opportunity or service is ready to go and is as advertised and you will be on your way to a brighter future with more sales and sign-ups.

Eliminate the Myths and Create Wealth Through Cash Gifting

What is the essence of separation between the rich and the not so rich?

 

Have you ever given any thought to the simple myths that may keep you from achieving wealth, or for that matter, anything else you may desire in life, or from your work at home business? You could be involved in any kind of home based business, income opportunity or cash gifting program and yet you just don’t see yourself ever achieving that 6 or 7 figure income the heavy hitters tout as so easily attained and desired.

 

Two important quotes to remember and apply from Harold S Geneen; the businessman who led ITT:

“We must not be hampered by yesterday’s myths in concentrating on today’s needs.” and “You can’t run a business or anything else on a theory.”

With those quotes in mind let’s explore some of those myths that many hold onto so dearly.

 

First Myth: You need the right education to make a fortune.

Have you ever thought to ask a renowned professor what he or she made in salary? Most are highly educated, but not all that wealthy. Formal education does not equate to wealth or performance in anything that you do. A strong vision and direction with a conversion of knowledge will lead to desired wealth.

 

Second Myth: I don’t have enough money to start doing anything.

Sounds a bit like an excuse, doesn’t it? Business empires that are worth billions of dollars today have been started in a basement or the garage out back. Don’t get me wrong… some “seed money” can be helpful, but desire and effort will go a long way toward success.

 

Third Myth: I’ll start next week when I have a clearer picture.

There’s an old saying; the more I learn, the more I see that I still need to learn more. Take action today… don’t wait for tomorrow, it may never come. Opportunity passes us by every day. You need to first see the opportunity and then seize it and make it your captive.

 

Forth Myth: Making money used to be a lot easier.

If we go back 15 years, history will show that with the advent of the high tech world we live in, there have been more millionaires made during that time period than in all of previous history. More and more business opportunities become available to us everyday.

 

Fifth Myth: I’m to young/old to start now.

Poppy Cock I Say… Now that makes me sound old, doesn’t it? Truth is you are never to young or old to start making your fortune. How old was Bill Gates when he started Microsoft? Twenty? How about Ray Kroc when he started McDonalds? Fifty? You get the picture!

 

Sixth Myth: You need to get in the right business to build wealth.

This one should be easy. If there was a “right business” to make your fortune, well then everyone would be in that “right business”. It is much more a matter of your vision and desire for success than the optimum business. Remember most widgets have been developed with a single thought to get the process rolling.

 

Seventh Myth: Never make money on what you enjoy doing.

Most people that have developed wealth continue to do what they do. Why you may ask? Because they enjoy what they do. They take satisfaction in what they do and enjoy the challenge. If you can make money at what you enjoy doing it really feels like you never have to work.

 

Eighth Myth: How much you can make depends entirely on how hard you work.

Have you ever watched a longshoreman working on the dock on a 90 degree day with 100% humidity? He/she is working hard is a fair assessment. No matter how hard they work, they still get the same pay. Working hard does not always equate to creating wealth.

 

We all have within us an under or undeveloped and undiscovered millionaire, waiting within to tear free of our own restraints, to be freed of doubt and pounce on that business opportunity staring us in the face.

 

With that in mind take a minute or two and memorize this simple saying:

Direct Mail, A Powerful Advertising Tool For Your Cash Gifting Program.

Cash Gifting Postcards  Cash gifting postcard mailings can be one the most cost effective weapons in your advertising arsenal.

The best way to attract new prospects to your business opportunity is to diversify your approach in making contact with those new prospects. This holds true in any work at home, Cash Gifting, MLM, direct sales or passive income opportunity that you advertise. Many people starting a home based business fail to grasp this simple truth and end up marketing their business opportunity in one way over and over again. Psychologist Abraham Maslow PHD (1908-1970) who penned The Hierarchy of Needs once said:

“If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.”

Today let’s examine a tool that many wealth opportunity marketers have not given much thought to; the simple postcard.

The first rule of advertising is consistency. Webster’s New World defines consistency as: “agreement with what has already been done or expressed; conformity with previous practice.” It really doesn’t matter what type of advertising you are doing if it is working for you, as long as it is done in a consistently.  The goal is then to ad another form of advertising, increasing your opportunity to draw in new prospects.

A direct mail postcard is a great marketing tool that can be used effectively for your cash gifting program. With the right mailing list of potential wealth builders you don’t need a marketing budget the size of the federal deficient. Some direct mail companies will add the names electronically when printing the postcards and then mail them for you. Obviously, this requires payment upfront, but can get the postcards in the hands of your potential prospects quicker.

Cost Effectiveness: Full color photo quality printing costs have become very reasonable over the past few years and mailing a postcard is cheaper than mailing an envelope. A postcard, no larger than a 4 X 6, will mail for 26 cents today.  If laid out properly, a 4 x 6 postcard can hold a lot of advertising info!  The difference in cost really adds up when mailing thousands of pieces.  Remember that the printing quality can greatly enhance your response rate.  You don’t get a second chance, so don’t settle for anything less than a full color 2-sided photo quality high gloss postcard that delivers both your image and your message.

Readability: What happens to the standard piece of business or “junk mail” that you receive nearly every day? It ends up in the trash before it is ever opened and read. A postcard on the other hand, like a mini-billboard, will get noticed and can be easily perused as soon as it is seen. With the proper message it will grab the new prospects attention and garner a lot more respect than your average advertising/sales letter wrapped in an envelope.

Measurability: A postcard mailing campaign can be measured for effectiveness very easily. If you were to send out two thousand postcards and received one hundred responses to your mailing you would then have a five percent response rate. You could also take it to the next level and track the number of prospects who join your legal cash gifting program and determine the mailing campaign ROI.

Multiple Uses: Postcards can be used to announce any number of things. Such as a new website, a sale, expansion of your cash gifting system, an invitation to a seminar. You get the idea.

Destination Success … A Simple Road Map! Part 2

Are you looking for a road map to success? A simple business plan for your work from home opportunity is a necessity.

In part 1 of this three part series we discussed the importance of anyone wanting to get the most from a work at home career needing to develop a business plan for their success.  In other words a simple road map to get from point A to point B and some of the things to consider before beginning the journey. In this installment we will discuss putting your goals in writing and making the numbers work.What does in mean to have a goal? A goal can be a very simple thing or it can be this great overwhelming shadow that follows you everywhere you go. Let me illustrate:

GOAL 1) My first goal this very morning was to have a great cup of coffee. Simple, achievable and very satisfying in the end.
GOAL 2) On the other hand my next goal was to make five million dollars by the end of the day from my home based business opportunity. Almost impossible, unless I win the lottery, and not achievable for most.  Really not very satisfying when I don’t achieve it. You get the picture.Goals need to be, above all, written and achievable. The great American author Henry David Thoreau said it very well:

“If one advances confidently in the direction of their goals and endeavors to live the life that they have imagined, they’ll meet with success unexpected in common hours.”  

Set your goals at achievable levels and when you are about to reach them you can always rethink them and raise the bar. With goals that are unrealistic we set ourselves up for failure in any work from home endeavor.

Now is the time to review the numbers to reach your goals. Are you trying to secure some extra income for a vacation or a new car? Are you trying to develop your income opportunity so that you can retire in leisure? Whatever the scenario, it’s all about the bottom line. Even the best home based business needs to work out a comprehensive list of expense numbers to determine the desired end result.

Always consider your current expenses as well as your planned expenses. Be very exacting as you develop your list. You should include everything from your internet service for an internet business opportunity, to office supplies, mileage and the list goes on and on. Remember to always take into consideration areas that may not come up immediately.

Don’t forget to set your income goal. Decide how much extra money or even extremely fast cash you want to earn from home and again, Go For It and THINK BIG!

How many can remember watching Capt. James Kirk command the Star Ship Enterprise as they headed out to explore space, “The Final Frontier”? If you’ve seen even one episode of Star Trek you will obviously remember Commander Spock. You know, the Vulcan, the one with the pointy ears and superior intellect. The one who would apply logic to every scenario and find almost everything “fascinating”.

Well I was just sitting here at my keyboard and I began to wonder what Spock might think of a Cash Gifting program as a way to generate extra income for just about anyone who had a little free time to invest in their future. So, let’s set the scenario, shall we…
